Job Description
The Electronics Engineer I will be responsible for assisting senior engineers in the research, analysis, design, development, testing, debugging and modification of electronics equipment such as VFMDs (Variable Frequency Motor Drives ACIM/BLDC), AC/DC Power Converters (3-Φ), and 28VDC Valve Controllers for commercial aerospace industry.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities, as management may deem necessary from time to time:
• Support the Electronics Lab (EE Lab) activities
• Assemble, test and debug analog and digital circuits
• Generate schematics for printed circuit board, Generate printed circuit board layouts
• Maintaining electronic component inventory- including kitting, quality management in the EE Lab
• Manage electronic equipment, Maintain organization of testing facility, equipment, chemicals and other materials.
• Maintain equipment calibration and record keeping.
• Facilitate inspection and processing of Electronics parts in MRB.
• Take ownership for driving new initiatives and exploring opportunities to add value to the Electronics/Quality department.
• Review and provide feedback to Engineering Departments for DFM / DFT and prototyping / early design concepts.
• support design and fabrication of test fixtures.
• Support qualification testing and reports
• Support troubleshooting of Electronic assemblies in production
• Assists in performing SPICE circuit using Altium SPICE and/or other tools
• Assists in electronics component selection and obsolescence management
• Performs electronics testing to make sure that requirements are met and generate test reports
• Independently finds or creates solutions to problems requiring research, resourcefulness and creativity
• Understands, follows, and promotes, SWWS policies and procedures
• Other duties as assigned
