Job Description

We are looking for someone who will be based in the United Kingdom at the Gloucester' production facility to support local initiatives. This position will be for a minimum of 18 months.

This opportunity will offer diverse interaction locally and with other production sites located worldwide to ensure synergies and continue the adoption of new technologies across our production sites.

You will also be working closely with the SMART Factory and R&T Advanced Manufacturing VPs based centrally to maintain our roadmaps and provide support for communication activities.

• Pilot sub-projects (using the different methodologies, such as PDCA or DMAIC)
a) Organise rituals with relevant stakeholders of the project to monitor progress and actions
b) Report on project development

• Support local roadmap deployment activities:
a) Work closely with SMART Factory and R&T Advanced Manufacturing focal points locally
b) Interact with the technical teams to lead the action plan
c) Interface with Heads of Manufacturing and Assembly
d) Develop and maintain local communication
e) Maintain local roadmap and ensure bottom-up and top-down development

• Deployment of company tools in line with global roadmap (Machine connectivity, Augmented Reality, Manufacturing Execution Systems…)

Job Requirements

• Bachelor degree in mechanical engineering / production field or other related technical discipline
• Good knowledge of theoretical and practical manufacturing processes
• Knowledge in Lean Manufacturing
• Knowledge of Industrie 4.0
• Knowledge of problem-solving and quality improvement tools and methodology
• Quick learning capability, good teamwork and innovative spirit
• Oral and written communication skills with English
• Attitude: Proactive, autonomous, thorough, perseverant and collaborative
