The Design Group Leader is seen as the Delivery authority by creating and managing the design office schedule, through knowledge, experience and exposure to high complexity category programmes.
Key Responsibilities & Duties;
• Planning of all design activities to ensure on time delivery.
• Manage the design Obeya and associated liaison with other engineering functions
• Manage the design review action tracker.
• Manage the E-Bom releasing and updates
• Develop tools, processes and methods for delivery of design deliverables for project deadlines
• Reporting/forecasting of status and updating of KPI.
• Manage regular governance meetings with Lead Senior engineer to assign team tasks.
Job Requirements
Experienced in leading and developing others, managing workload and resources across multiple programmes concurrently, ideally within the Aerospace industry. Also experienced in developing a robust process to monitor team productivity on a regular basis.
Qualified to a minimum of degree in a Mechanical / Aerospace / Structural Engineering field. Alternatively a HNC/HND or an equivalent qualification in Mechanical / Aerospace / Structural Engineering field, with extensive experience in mechanical systems design, developing concept and detailing engineering solutions.
Min 10 years relevant project experience
Min 10 years Catia and PLM experience
Design deliverables Scheduling and Planning
Working to industry standards and codes
Team player
