Financial Controller

Mission:

Reporting directly to Power Division CFO and functionally to local General Manager, you will:
• Implement the finance organization in the newly created Safran Electrical & Power Singapore Pte Ltd, in coordination with Safran Singapore Shared Services Center;
• Be accountable for the administrative, financial and risk management operations of the Company in coordination of the services provided by Safran Singapore Shared Service Center;
• Lead the budgeting & Mid Term Planning processes and present results in accordance to IFRS accounting standards (Safran Group reporting);
• Be accountable for Trade Compliance Function, with direct management under the Trade Compliance Manager
Responsibilities
• In charge of the financial controlling of the company with major responsibility for forecasting, financial analysis and ensuring the integrity of all relevant financial information respecting the Power Division Finance Strategy according to Safran group rules and processes;
• Manage accounting, tax, controlling and internal control in coordination with Safran Singapore Shared Service Center and report accurate financial results;
• Ensure the proper financial integration of this new company in the Safran Financial Processes and Reporting;
• Manage and develop the 5 year forecasting budget so to provide insightful business outlook;
• Analyse economic, business, and financial conditions and optimize the impact on the organization
• Develop performance measures to support the company's direction within Power Division Strategy and report the existing performance measures with accuracy;
• Construct and monitor reliable internal control systems;
• Ensure that the company complies with all Singapore legal and regulatory requirements and record keeping meets the requirement of auditors and government agencies;
• Maintain relations with external auditors and investigate their findings and recommendations (as need be);
• Monitor cash balances and cash forecasts, cash pooling with Safran HQ;
• Validating ROI and business cases for legacy or new products, and for capital expenditure requests;
• Participate in key decisions as a member of the Senior Leader Team of the site;
• Report financial results to the board of directors for statutory accounts sign off.

• Master Degree graduate in Business/Finance/Accounting or Certified Public Accountant or Certified Management Accountant designations with at least 5 years of working experience in management position
• Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting and financial principles
• Manufacturing and/or service experience in controlling required – Aerospace / Defence industry experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of ERPs and accounting systems with SAP implementation a plus
• Strong analytical skills and proficient in Excel
• Experience in business partnering with Executive team
• Able to work in a start-up environment
• Ability to work in a tight deadline environment
