Job Description

The role holder ensures through Sales and Operations Planning Reviews the correct flow down and execution of customer requirements are managed into Suppliers and improvements are made to supplier planning and systems. The role holder will analyse data and support, challenge and collaborate with Purchasing team members and leaders in improving KPI's. Provide insights that help to manage improved and stable demand signal into suppliers and a robust procurement strategy whilst maintaining incoming inventory costs and on time delivery of parts to meet business targets. Ensure robust coordination and timely maintenance of accurate supplier master data and parameters in the system.
The role holder also acts as an internal customer interface across Pitstone and Twinsburg representing purchasing at critical customer reviews and audits (including QRQC's, Customer Recovery meetings, Steerco etc.)

- A clear, concise automated data management system in place to manage 100% missing parts and Quality, Cost, Delivery KPI's
- Coordinate and drive all customer critical actions across the purchasing business to support reviews (QRQC's, Customer Recovery Meetings, Steerco and Programme Reviews etc.)
- Ensure the Purchasing team is driving the critical customer actions (quality & delivery) and drive them to closure in a timely manner to achieve customer satisfaction and planned sales
- Ensure robust coordination and timely update of master data
- Through Sales and Operations Review meeting drive decisions on management of pull in and push outs along with Operations Planning, Programme Team etc. and ensure incoming Inventory from supplier is in line to support demand whilst maintaining stability in supply chain
- Analyse Weekly Demand Fluctuations (Pull in / Push outs/ cancellations), drive root cause corrective action by influencing the cross functional teams and influence the business to drive towards improved change control of demand
- Track Supplier de commits on a weekly basis and provide report to Purchasing Leadership team
- Proactively provide analysis on key input measures (PR conversion, Supplier acknowledgments) to the Supplier Account Managers and purchasing teams and influence them to make decisions to improve missing parts, OTD and DPPM
- Review Procurement and Purchasing Procedures and ensure they are up to date and compliant to AS9100 requirements including military flow down
- Work with Wider Purchasing teams to improve and streamline supplier planning and procurement systems (like SP2)

• Coordinate the actions from Sales and Operations Review and ensure timely closure of actions / exception messages
• Lead change control for demand management flow down into suppliers
• Coordinate purchasing governance and KPI's and drive for results by working closely with the relevant Program Managers and SAM's
• Ensure Purchasing process compliance
• Responsible to ensure Purchasing Master Data Governance Maintenance and execution
• Coordinate and support Purchasing IT roadmap

Supply chain execution decisions made in monthly S&OP reviews
Make recommendations to Head of Purchasing on supply chain planning improvements and control
Ensure governance of Purchasing KPI's
Master Data changes approval
Ordering approval

Job Requirements

• Degree in Operations Management / Programme Management / Supply Chain Management or equivalent
• SAP/ERP experience required
• Deep understanding of Purchase to Pay Process
• The ability to understand Planning system parameters and provide an insight through data Aerospace & Build to Print Experience Preferred
• Advanced Excel skills and of other Microsoft office applications. Power BI, SQL, Excel Query will be a plus.
• Previous planning and Programme Management understanding Problem Solving mind-set
• Self-Starter
• Proven experience of driving for results & solid influencing skills to resolve bring key actions to conclusion
• Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively manage stakeholders at all levels


• Evidence of written English at interview stage. This will be through providing certification of a formal English or technical qualification studied in the UK or overseas in English. If this cannot be provided you will be required to complete and pass an online SHL English comprehension test as part of the interview process.
