Job Description
The position is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of the company's tools and dies. This includes maintaining and improving existing designs while utilizing the company's resources efficiently. Additionally, the role involves providing technical support to operations, serving as the area expert in die-cutting, forming, stamping, machining, and related processes.
Complementary Description
• Analyze and implement solutions to resolve internal and external quality issues related to tools and dies.
• Define and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance for tools and dies.
• Manage, control, and ensure proper storage of tools and dies.
• Establish and monitor spare parts inventory for tools and dies, managing them within min-max levels.
• Provide support for First Article Inspections (FAI) and validate changes in operations.
• Propose design improvements for existing tools and dies based on application performance, aiming to enhance tool lifespan and product quality.
• Integrate poka-yoke mechanisms into tools to ensure personnel and equipment safety.
• Conduct cost control and reduction studies, applying Lean principles to optimize inventory management.
• Determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow to maximize the utilization of production facilities and personnel.
Job Requirements
Education: A preferred professional degree in Industrial, Mechanical, or Mechatronics Engineering, or a diploma/equivalent in a technical field, with over 8 years of experience in tool and die expertise.
Experience: Proven experience in metalworking environments, specifically with tool and die applications.
Languages: Proficient in English, with the ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications.
