Job Description


Working as a key member of the Logistics team in a busy environment you will be responsible for a range of activities to support the flow of work and ensure that the operation runs as smoothly as possible. This is a multi-tasking, support based role.


PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Supporting Goods Inwards and Despatch activities with loading and unloading of Landing Gears and equipment to/from HGV's.
• Supporting Goods Inwards activities with storage configuration.
• All packing activities and loading as necessary.
• Collection and distribution (internal) of parts from suppliers (including sub-contractors when necessary).
• Delivery of Critical Path parts into and out of process/abeyance areas.
• Support of off-site storage configuration.
• Collection and distribution of calibration equipment from internal customers.
• Support and oversight of scrap parts process (collection, collation, mutilation).
• Support of projects as identified.
• Participation in continuous improvement activities to improve operational processes and customer satisfaction.
• Understand KPIs and ensure targets are met.

KEY MEASURES OF PERFORMANCE

The success of this role will be measured against KPIs that will be stated within a Service Level Agreement with Operations.


KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / SKILLS NEEDED

• Current and valid Fork Lift Driver Licence
• Full UK Driving Licence
• Experience of working in a warehouse or distribution centre
• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to multi task and prioritise workload
• Physical fitness
• Can do, positive attitude and a flexible approach
• A basic level of numeric and literacy skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to work within a team
• Conscientious and customer focused
