Job Description

The Sales Manager is responsible for the development, implementation and follow-up of a sales plan that will create opportunities for the proliferation of the company's products and services to commercial airline operators.

Complementary Description

Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Cultivate successful customer relationships that focus on mutual benefits, maximize the partnership potential, and drive to consistently meet or exceed customer expectations
• Act as the primary point of contact for each appointed customer, and be a customer advocate for them within the organization; actively collaborate with Program Management office and other functions
• Visit customers as needed
• Develop well-organized, informative proposals in response to customer requests. Solicit and coordinate other internal resources when needed or desired
• Develop and present detailed product and system presentations
• Manage product/services mix, pricing and margins according to agreed aims
• Forecast product requirements for each customer on a monthly basis
• Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships
• Lead customer contract negotiations and coordinate other internal resources as necessary
• Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information
• Attend trade shows and seminars, demonstrate products, articulate competitive benefits of company products and services
• Represent the company during negotiations and offsite sales meetings and advise management on outcome and next steps
• Advise management of market trends and potential business opportunities

Job Requirements

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in a related field
• 5+ years of experience working in a similar role
• IFE Sales or Aerospace Sales experience (Preferably BFE Sales to Airlines)
• Good understanding of the IFE competitive landscape, products and systems
• Strong passion for customer satisfaction
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook)
• Written and verbal fluency in either French or German

• Must be an articulate and fluent communicator, verbal and written, and at ease with public speaking
• Ability to efficiently resolve problems
• Ability to accomplish multiple tasks

• Ability to assess, build and report on strategic relationships at various customers
• Ability to adapt to and understand cultures in different countries

Specificity of the job

Some local, domestic and international travel will be required, mostly in Europe, USA and selective developed countries in Africa
