Job Description
Reporting to the Safran Landing Systems Director of IS Architecture and Cloud Factory the Data Architect designs and implements an organization's data architecture and strategy. As part of a digital transformation program initiated by the group, you will be involved in on the design and support of the construction of the DATA 4.0 environment for Safran Landing Systems.
The Data Architect will define architecture to address business goals and outcomes such as the following:
• Increasing speed to market for customer IS solutions
• Driving resilience and agility
• Improving security and governance
• Cost control and reductions of investment in on premise solutions
To this end, as an architect, your main missions will be to:
• Contribute to the architecture, implementation and sustainability of the the company from a technical and functional point of view in agreement with the architects/IT experts
of each area of competence (Storage, Network, etc.) in order to support the data of the company and its use;
• Formalize the description of databases (business data model and definition dictionary) and rely on the data owner;
• Guide the practices of the platform's Data Engineers (data ingestion & exposure), and the Data Management, Dataviz and ML Engineer practice leads with the Data Platform, responsible respectively for the implementation of data governance, dataviz and data science
• Support IT projects (architecture) in the definition of business needs on the description and use of the data (business concepts, business requirements, uses of the data within algorithms, data models, data flows, etc.) and animate the urbanization of the company's IS data;
• Design the Data products and solutions supported by the digital factory ( Data Factory ) teams (BI, self service, AI, IAGen, Data Management) based on the technical and industrial strategy of the IT department with regard to Data issues
• Guide projects by setting up and enforcing norms and standards applicable to the construction of the data and the description of the data, in particular in Use of the data dictionary and business models.
• Carry the technical vision, internally and externally, and bring out its developments with the teams in line with the overall strategy.
• Contribute to the quality of the content of the data dictionary and database templates over time, and put in place tools to support the sustainability of the data;
• Ensure the management of data change (training in the use of data, communication), but also on developments in terms of norms and standards of data, on the evolution of the dictionary and data models.
Job Requirements
Technical skills:
. Proficiency in SQL/NoSQL languages
• Proficiency with Amazon Web Services cloud computing
• Data exchange and processing: EDI, API, ETL,
• Able to assist in designing and performing distributed calculations in real-time or in a manner that Batch
• Administer a data platform (Database, distributed computing, ...)
• Model, process and transform complex data
• Design a heterogeneous data storage solution (NoSQL, Indexer, SQL in Memory ...)
• Experience with Agile project management methodology including Kanban visual work management
• Design and deploy a distributed architecture for data processing
• Proficiency in data modeling
• Knowledge of statistics, data algorithms.
• Business/enterprise architecture skills (process, functional, business data)
• Knowledge of TOGAF (certification would be a plus)
• Computer modeling (HLD / LLD)
• Methodology (ArchiMate, ITIL, V-cycle project management, agile at scale)
• Creativity, Sense of innovation (he is an inventor of data)
• Experience with or comprehension of legacy IT systems to design the blueprint to transform the legacy system to the cloud
