Job Description

Manufacturing Engineer
- Ensure the assembly process (from engineering definition) match the required HSE, quality and budget objectives
- Support the shop in order to address any blocking point (including solving problems methodology)

Reports to the Senior Operations Manager.

Main activities
• Ensure that effective plant, equipment and tooling strategies are in place
• Define manufacturing processes, ensure all processes are consistent and compliant with specifications
• Design manufacturing processes with ergonomic risks in mind
• Ensure that the performance of the process meets defined targets (quality ,Cp&Cpk, cost, delivery)
• Coordinate the activities necessary for the establishment of means of production
• Provide expert guidance to the Team Leader, Mechanics
• Make the link with the Manufacturing Engineering and design office teams located in Europe
• Plan, drive and coordinate the activities contributing to the industrial product validation to meet cost targets, quality, deadlines.
• Represent the manufacturing engineering at the customer, in coordination with Industrial Program Manager
• Manage continuous improvement activities for process & product
• Define and drive action plan to reduce number of non-conformities and ensure process control
• Deploy QRQC tools in order to correct any deviation

Responsibilities and Duties
• Collaborative working relationship with Senior Operations Manager and the production Team Leader
• Working in partnership with production and Quality teams.
• Provide training / advice / guidance to the operation team as required
• Work cross functionally with other SAFRAN sites in your field of expertise through various forums

Job Requirements

• Master Degree in Engineering, Aviation/Aerospace
• First experience of manufacturing engineering activities in the Aeronautic field ort training would be appreciated
• Technical Leadership skills
• Communication skills
• Provide training / advice / guidance to the operation team as required
