Job Description

Within the IT department of Safran Landing Systems, attached to SLS head office (Vélizy-Villacoublay) and reporting to the head of Projects Team and PMO, as a real project leader, you coordinate internal and external actors to ensure the successful delivery of single or multiple projects within scope, quality, time and cost constraints.

Responsible of the quality of the project deliverables and their validation, you formalize, challenge and manage all the stages and dimensions of the project from the expression of needs to the deployment into production while respecting costs and delays.
As well, you lead change management and ensure communication related to the project.
You will have to interact with multiple stakeholders (customers, developers, sales, providers …) based in Europe and North America.

Complementary Description

- Provide leadership for project team by motivating team members to meet project goals and milestones according to project lifecycle and methodology
- Coordinate, monitor and manage the impacts and interactions with other projects
- Full project lifecycle ownership: successful delivery from initiation to deployment
- Prepare estimates and detailed project plan for all phases of the project
- Procure adequate resources to achieve project objectives in planned timeframes
- Manage project activities and resources and chairs the project management meetings (Steering Committees, Project Committees, …)
- Participate or drive feasibility studies, vendor selections and proposals
- Define work statement and specifications for the requested goods and services
- Develop and manage all aspects of project engagements such as planning, external vendor relationships, communications, resources, budget, change, risks and issues
- Ensure that project is proceeding according to scope, schedule, budget and quality standards
- Monitor, track and control outcomes to resolve issues, conflicts, dependencies and critical path deliverables
- Manage project issues and risks to mitigate impact to baseline
- Provide status reports regarding project success criteria, metrics, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks and issues
- Provide proposals presentations to various audiences (project team, sponsors, directors…)
- Participate in establishing “best practices”,

Job Requirements

Required qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study
• 5+ years of project management experience, including tracking and planning projects (Project Management Methodologies, Agile, SCRUM, Waterfall or Prince2)
• 5+ years of experience working within a cross-functional matrix and international environment
• Experience in management of Infrastructure and security projects
• Fluent in English and French
• Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment and collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve a common objectives demonstrating teamwork
• Demonstrate decisiveness in resolving problems, making decisions and identifying priorities
• Strong leadership, diplomatic and motivational skills including the ability to lead up, across and down multiple organizations
• Excellent communication (written, verbal and presentation) and capacity to summarize
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work in an international and multicultural environment
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving
• Self-motivated, decisive, with the ability to adapt to change and challenging demands
• Experience negotiating vendor contracts
• Experience on estimations and budget proposals
• Experience in successfully leading projects to on-time, on-schedule and within budget
• Competent with software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Projects
• Results Orientation (sets and accomplishes challenging goals, defines standards, takes calculated risks to achieve results)
