Job Description

Responsible of the management of a team of process engineers who are in charge:
• To create and modify the manufacturing processes (programming, set-up on the machines, definition of consumables and tooling, …) for industrialization and rework
• To create and distribute process related documents (manufacturing instructions, process management instruction, operation training material, …)
• To manage the manufacturing instructions and programs
• To train operators to the process modifications and evaluate operators' technical skills to obtain or maintain their qualification
• To monitor the performance of the process
• To support external and internal audits for technical aspect
• To support quality department for non-quality exported event treatment
• To lead or participate to problem solving in production lines (quality events on products, machines stopped, other production support)
• To lead or participate to improvement projects (6 sigma, lean, investment, cost reduction, automations, …)
• …

Scope of manufacturing processes : heat treatment, APVS, brazing, spot welding, shot peening, sandblasting, painting, coating, grinding, polishing, grinding, marking

Duties and responsibilities:
• Ensure the management of his team and his team's activities
• Ensure the training/coaching and development of his team
• Ensure the coordination for cross department cooperation, as well as the necessary interfaces with other Safran Aiircraft Engines entities abroad
• Participate and support the improvement of the QMS (quality management system) for process activities aspects
• Support the realization of internal and external audits regarding technical aspect
• Define and conduct the continuous improvement of the process activities :
o Be a support on problem solving, lead or support project
o Continuous improvements of process activities (organization, KPI, responsibilities …)

Job Requirements

• Education:
o Bachelor degree or above, majoring in mechanical engineering or other related
• Technical skills:
o General knowledge on mechanics and materials
o Good knowledge on non-conventional manufacturing processes (theory and practice)
o GD&T knowledge
o Knowledge on robot programing is a plus
• Other skills:
o Good at communication, good teamwork, quality and innovation spirit
o Competency on problem-solving and quality improvement tools and techniques, including management and planning tools, lean & 6 sigma, quality tools (5 why, 8D, fishbone diagram, etc.), preventive and corrective actions.
o Six sigma green belt project experience is a plus.
o Good at MS office use
o Good oral and written communication skills in English.
o Overall view and critical thinking
• Experience:
o 1st experience in related engineering field as engineer
o 2+ years' of management experience (team management / project management)
