Job Description

In this job description, we have distinguished two functions :

Scheduler :

- Analyze the material requirements plan (MRP) :
• validate the expression of requirements derived from the MRP, after any necessary changes, as it relates to internal production orders
• manage exception messages arising from the MRP, within your area of responsibility
- Schedule and launch production orders, both internal and external (outsourcing of specific phases)
• launch production orders (allocation of human and material resources)
• prepare the launch documentation (progress cards, requisition notes for materials and components, etc.)
• schedule production orders in order to reduce production work-in-progress and time spent on non-value-added tasks
• monitor the completion of production orders and ensure that production schedules and inventory levels are accurately updated
• analyze internal workshop OTD performance
- Analyze the impact of production anomalies and, if necessary, replan production orders
- Analyze the impact of requests for technical developments, within your area of activity, and implement the associated action plan, after requests are validated
- Update data in the various information systems, within your area of activity
- Update KPIs, within your area of activity


Logistics coordinator :

- Coordinate all of the shipping, receiving activities for our Tianjin facility. Manage all physical flows (incoming/internal and outgoing) from reception of components and raw materials to shipping of finished goods to customers (from the local site, company, etc.)
- Operate Forklift or Hand truck to unload and load trucks and receive packages
- Inspect and verify incoming goods against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damage goods
- Receive merchandise, check and sign delivery slips
- Record movement of material in the SAP system (items in and out)
- Prepare shipping documents and BOL
- Perform Cycle Count Activities and report inventory discrepancies as needed
- Serve as a contact point for all transport companies
- Perform kitting activities to assist production
- Place components at the appropriate shelves matching SAP locations
- Maintain storage area and organizes and places stock on shelves
- Develop and assist in improving processes (shipping, receiving, warehouse) for all logistic activity and task
- Palletize, box and prepare packing list and labels for items shipping out
- Work directly with on-site team to prepare weekly shipments report to the Safran group
- Create and report inventory levels using Power Point, Excel and other Microsoft software
- Participate in all Continuous Improvement activity and lead activity to improve the logistic and inventory control aspects of Safran Tianjin
- Ensure compliance with all HSE regulations and site rules, both on-site and at the customer facility
- Realize the customs activities (Import and export documents)

Job Requirements

Knowledge :
- Knowledge of the site's organization
- Detailed vision of local workshop and subcontractor production processes and procurement flows
- Knowledge of MRP II processes
- Basic knowledge of corporate economics
- Knowledge in Shipping and Receiving
- Knowledge on customs requirements
- Knowledge of Safe Storage and Handling procedures for various chemicals and materials

Skills :
- Proficiency in information systems (ERP and ideally MES/manufacturing execution systems)
- Proficiency in office tools
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, within your unit and with other departments at the site
- Know how to sound timely warnings at the right level (line manager, MPS scheduler, procurement, etc.)
- Ability to make the right decisions
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Ability to negotiate with internal contacts
- Ability to analyze a problem involving internal and external parties, find the root cause and propose solutions
- Ability to analyze information provided by other departments and assess the importance of variances and their consequences
- Proficient in using and understanding the Lean Manufacturing processes
