Job Description

Working as part of a worldwide Estimating Team, reporting to the Global Landing Gear Integration (LGI) Estimating Manager, you will be required to make estimates and give visibility to the Integrated Program Team (IPT). On your scope, you will also be responsible to update/build new tools & collect knowledge and data about specific processes or products; you will be liaising with both internal and external customers. You will also be expected to participate in cost reduction initiatives.

The successful candidate will be someone who is curious, willing to interact & motivated to improve their knowledge and who is proactive & flexible to meet customer demands.
Travelling will be required for this position.

Responsibilities:
• Establish estimates for landing gear and landing gear systems to tight deadlines.
• Be the Estimating representative at IPT & update the 5 years cost forecast.
• Update our databases, with the help of manufacturing engineering and purchasing, and build or calibrate our tools and calculators.
• Assist the design office make cost effective decisions.
• Provide estimates for modifications to existing Landing Gears to the IPT Lead.
• Participate in cost reduction activities.
• Provide target costs to the purchasing dept.
• Using and programming our estimating software (Facton)
• Work with closely with the sites in France, UK, China and Mexico.

Job Requirements

• Masters degree or 5 year experience of NC machines and manufacturing processes.
• Manufacturing, Mechanical or Design Engineering knowledge.
• Bilingual in both English and French
• Superior Computer skills in Excel, Access, VBA
* Excellent written and communication skills.
