Job Description

This position is located at the Mirabel site. This position reports directly (solid line) to the Regional CIO – North America and dotted-line to the Director of Finance. This position works closely with the site's management and the Regional / Global IS teams.

This position has three sets of responsibilities

1. Business Relationship Management (55%) – Responsibilities include working closely with the business partners. Act as a solutions consultant and a trusted advisor to help translate business needs / problems into solutions
2. Hands-On activities (30%) - Assist the local IT team troubleshoot and solve technical issues
3. IS Team / Process Management (15%) – Responsibilities include management of local team members, budgets (Operational and Capital), project and risk management process

Key Responsibilities:

• To provide a functional leadership role to the IS/IT personnel
• Responsible for performance reviews and career development of personnel
• Operational and Capital budget management
• Process and Internal Controls Management
• Outsourcer management
• Service Requests Management
• Project portfolio management
• Ensuring that the deployment of infrastructure and business systems is consistent with that defined globally.
• To develop and propose strategies for resource, services and technology optimization
• Work closely with business partners to not only understand their needs but to proactively propose improvements
• Work with the business to help translate business requirements in to true technical requirements which can be used to define solutions by working closely with the regional and global IT teams
• To advise Senior Managers on the effective use of technology that is aligned with the strategic goals of operational excellence, innovation, financial performance and competitive position of the organization.
• Negotiating and reaching agreement with functions on services and associated service levels.

Safran Systèmes d'Atterrissage est une filiale de Safran Landing Systems, leader mondial des systèmes d'atterrissage et de freinage pour aéronefs. Son usine de Mirabel est dédiée à la fabrication des composantes majeures des trains d'atterrissage pour les modèles Airbus A320, A330, A340, A350 et le Boeing 787.

Job Requirements

• Ability to Build, maintain and manage the relationship with IS/IT providers and functional management.
• Ability to manage and market the image of the IS Function and its mission.

Qualifications/Prerequisites:

• A recognized University degree, preferred in IT, IS, Computer Science/ Business, with a minimum of 5 years related experience.



Experience:

• 5 + years of experience which clearly demonstrates a career evolution from someone who was hands-on with technology solution development and project management to someone who has a thorough understanding of business processes and is capable of leading a team of technical individuals to achieve strategic objectives.
• 2+ years hands-on experience in application development, database design, infrastructure design and delivery solutions design and implementation.
• 2+ years of building and managing IS / IT operational and capital investment budgets.
• 1+ years of project management experience using industry standard methodologies.
• Vendor management experience
• Experience with executing outsourcing strategy
• Experience with executing cloud strategy
• Knowledge of IoT, Data Analytics, AI, VR / AR and other new technologies coupled with the ability to create strategy for deployment of these technologies for creating business value
• Good track record of managing diverse IS/IT investments and change initiatives.
• Experience with developing strategies to support Business Process/technology evolution.
• Management of full lifecycles of technologies and service delivery processes.
• Proven problem solving skills.
• Functional leadership, coaching and development of resources.
• Manufacturing, Engineering, Aerospace and / or Automotive Industry experience.
• Fully bilingual (French and English)
