Job Description

The Truck Driver will be responsible for products transportation from one location to another while respecting the schedule.
He/She will perform daily tasks assigned; assess priorities on a daily basis upon arrival in observing the activity of the night before.

Summary of duties:

Specifically, the Truck Driver will be called upon to:
Play an integral part of the logistics team.
Participates actively in the preparation of shipments (50/50 on road / warehouse)
Responsible of the picking up & delivery of material at customers and suppliers.
Perform daily safety and maintenance checks.
Follow all HAZMAT/SIMDUT policies when manipulating goods and materials.
Ensure all health and safety regulations are being adhered to in relations to daily tasks.
Operate all equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
Clean truck as scheduled and/or required.
Advise Supervisor of any requirements for maintenance or repairs.

Job Requirements

Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred
Valid driver's license class 3
Experience: Minimum 5 years
Computer skills: Basic knowledge of MS office
Other skills:
Strong comprehension of shipping, procedure, problem solving, and troubleshooting is a definite asset.
Good knowledge of the geographical sector
Focused on customer service & excellent interpersonal skills.
Autonomy and ability to work in a production context with minimal supervision
Certificate in Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Asset)
Experience / valid license - forklift (asset)
Languages: Ability to communicate in French and English
Additional:Change of shift may occur
Availability to perform overtime hours when required.
