Job Summary:
The CNC Programmer is responsible for authoring and maintaining Computer Programs for Numerical Controlled cutters. The programmer shall provide Production Operations the necessary programs needed to machine sandwich panels and/or for the machining of metal parts. He/She must work with shop floor and engineering prints to insure machine code and programs are established and verified. Must work with Engineering and Quality Assurance Inspection to insure part requirements are met. This job reports to the Production Supervisor, Production Manager.
Summary of Duties (may or may not include the following):
Create a computer program (typically in True Nest or Master CAM) to cut or machine parts required for production.
Load programs into cutting machine using a network connection or floppy disk.
As required manage the cutting schedule as required by the production manager or program manager.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
Education: High School diploma or higher.
Experience: 2-5 years experience with True Nest or Master Cam.
Computer Skill: Drawing digital library (i.e. PCDOCS), very proficient in Auto CAD required, 3-axis. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Windows operating system.
Other Skills: High proficiency in reading and interpretation of drawings required. Trigonometry a plus.
