ummary of the role
The assembler assembles aircraft interiors and/or parts, such as cabins, bins, galleys, lavatories and sidewalls etc. and builds sub-assemblies for the completion of aircraft interior structures, and/or parts using engineering drawings, company and customer specifications.
Tasks of the role
Builds sub-assemblies of parts and structures, aircraft components, such as aluminum extrusions, fiberglass laminates and various materials.
Fills and seals surfaces as required according to established specifications or customer limitations.
Installs trim and applies lamination material.
Assembles sub-components of structures or units.
Assembles aircraft structures and units, such as: Binds and secures subcomponents to structure or unit.
Attaches operating equipment, plumbing and some electrical components.
Handles and moves raw material and fabricated parts with care to ensure integrity and quality are not compromised during handling
Job Requirements
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or equivalent
Experience: 0-3 years' related experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Other Skills: Ability to read engineering drawings is preferred
