Job Description

The successful candidate will be a go-getter, who is eager to learn and get involved in all Health, Safety and Environment functions.

In this role you get the opportunity to learn on the job whilst completing the nationally recognised qualification - Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Work with the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager to implement and monitor the health, safety & environmental management databases, systems, policies and procedures.

• Support in planning, coordinating and implementation of site safety, occupational health, environmental, fire prevention, emergency response issues

• Proactively promoting and working with various stakeholders on HSE queries, issues and improvements
• In consultation with various stake holders carryout HSE risk assessments

• Assist with the maintenance of Corporate HSE standards and ISO 14001 certifications

Job Requirements

To be successful in securing this position, you must;
• Have completed or currently being completing the Higher School Certificate or equivalent
• Have a genuine interest in Health, Safety and Environment in workplaces
• Some experience in customer service or leadership roles within a school or extracurricular activity setting
• Basic computer skills including the ability to use Excel and Word
• The ability to work well in a team environment
• A can do, positive attitude mixed with an energetic and eager personality

This role is suited to both school leavers and candidates who have some junior administrative experience. The successful candidate will be employed on a full time basis for a 24 month training contract and will be given the opportunity to complete a traineeship during this time.
