Job description

Sr. Cost Analyst:

  • • Provide guidance and support to Operations staff to achieve business goals
  • • Prepare department, inventory, and capital budgets for short and long range plans
  • • Analyze costs monthly: overhead and inventory
  • • Prepare and maintain standard costs using CCR function in SAP to ensure accuracy of inventory
  • • Prepare and maintain transfer prices
  • • Analyze work order, inventory, and purchase variances
  • • Provide guidance to minimize unnecessary variances
  • • Analyze risks and propose ideas/actions to minimize gaps in business preformance
  • • Manage Capital Projects and Assets: justification, cash forecast, asset split as necessary
  • • Provide guidance and assist in calculation of lean projects for Safran +
Monthly Closing:
  • • Accurate and timely financial reporting
  • • Maintain and manage reporting charts and dashboards
  • • Post manual inventory entries into SAP including provisions as necessary
  • • Troubleshoot and resolve inventory issues between SAP and/or Tiscam as necessary
  • • Troubleshoot issues with work orders and purchases
  • • Validate overhead cost accuracy by department and account code making corrections as necessary
Year-End Closing:
  • • Oversee yearly audit verification of inventory
  • • Calculate actual inventory value and make adjustments as necessary
  • • SAP inventory valuation lead for fiscal auditors
  • • Assist as needed at yearly fiscal audit
Miscellaneous Duties:
  • • Assist with yearly Corporate Internal Control Audit
  • • Assist with KY use tax questions and audits as necessary
  • • Perform other related duties as required

Job requirements

  • • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Business; advanced degree preferred
  • • Greater than five years of practical experience in manufacturing, with demonstrated abilities in problem solving
  • • SAP modules Fi & CO experience required
  • • Knowledge of bills of materials, routings, and standard costing
