Job description

Purpose & missions:

Safran Seats is engaged in an attractive & international transformation project dedicated to the performance improvement of our processes and activities in development. Therefore, we are seeking a result-oriented candidate who will provide direct support to the on-going programs combined with the networking within the operational excellence organization in development to cross-pollinate all good practices and experiences.

Main activities:

The main activities of this position includes:

Identify potential area of improvements upon the request of Safran Seats executive committee, the engineering or industrial departments of a business unit
Support transformation leader within sites to establish their own transformation roadmap aligned with the companies priorities
Conduct the realization of performance improvement project within our business units relying on the OneSafran handbooks & Lean-Sigma toolbox
Scope the project especially identify the expected benefits in quality, cost, delay and/or people development
Identify and negociate the required ressources to perform the project
Use the relevant good practices from OneSafran Develop in accordance with the problem statement
Implement a proper governance of the project
Measure and share the achievement of results
Support the deployment and improvement of OneSafran Develop standards
Supervise projects leaded by Green Belt and develop their skills
Coach the Green Belts in the conduction of their improvement project and the application of the relevant methodology
Share experience and good practices among the development stakeholders
Formalize and capitalize any results implemented
Facilitate the sharing of good practices between business units from each sites, between development and operational excellence stakeholders
Develop, sustain and take benefits the networking within Safran+ organization

Technical Skills:

The following skills will facilitate the achievement of the missions:

Knowledge and experience in project/program management & methodologies
Experience in projects and/or programs in development
Experience in using Lean-Sigma and problem-solving methodologies
Good understanding of change management technics
Knowledge of the cash management drivers is a plus

Interpersonal Skills:

The successful candidate must demonstrate an analytic and fact-based mindset combined with an effective communication and interpersonal skills as the position will require to lead workshop, get the buy-in of attendees and perform regular presentation at all management levels.


This position implies to be in interaction with stakeholders from engineering, industrialization, programs, quality, services, lean at all levels of Safran Seats organization.

Externally, the interaction will be with Safran+ organization and OneSafran Develop stakeholders of the other Safran companies.
