The Quality Engineer position exists because of the central role quality plays in the support of the aerospace products we produce. Customers demand compliance to FAA, AS9100 and other standards. Engineering level expertise is required to support those needs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities -
o Interprets electrical test customer requirements and develop the electrical test programs accordingly.
o Performs full or partial FAI process to ensure the effective introduction of new products, new processes and engineering changes related electrical modification
o Follow-up with the new electrical test programs plan, defining priorities according the global schedule.
o Ensures the parts availability to develop the electrical test counterparts
o Provides technical support to operators during electrical test harnesses manufacturing
o Ensures shipment of a product, which meets the customer requirements, by building according to client specifications. SHIP DEFECT FREE PRODUCT.
o Ensures the product-process control according to the customer specifications.
o Defines, monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of quality plans and practices.
o Ensures appropriate disposition of Non-Conforming material detected.
o Administration and control of corrective and preventive maintenance
o Leads the analysis for customer complaints and corrective/preventive actions definition with natural team
o Documents and follow-up internal and external corrective actions.
o Verifies the effectiveness of the corrective actions implemented.
o Maintains up to date the database for internal and external quality.
o .Ensures to keep the latest version of electrical test according customer specification
o Generates, reviews, implements and maintains QMS documentation of quality department, Work Instructions, Formats, etc.
o Reviews and approves technical and performance specifications, and inspections procedures
o Leads / participates in continuous improvement projects to reach established goals and go beyond.
- • Education level – Requires BS Industrial Engineering or equivalent college level degree
- • 1-3 years' experience in similar position preferred
- • Technical Skills –
o Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and associated documentation
o Demonstrated knowledge of electrical and mechanical engineering principles; understanding of wiring and use of equipment associated with fabrication and manufacturing of harnesses and conduits.
o Ability to use of CAD; familiar with documentation management;.
o Desirable knowledge's: Advanced Excel, Power point, executive reviews.
o Knowledge of compliance requirements (AS9100; FAA);
