Director of Sales Job Description
Summary of Job Purpose:

  • - Drive segment-focused Sales & Marketing efforts on assigned territory for the entire Safran Electronics and Defense products family
  • - Lead SEDA commercial interaction and negotiation with customers in line with strategic and financial goals set by the corporation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • - Promote and sell wide range of Safran Electronics and Defense Products internationally, understanding the market (customers and competitors)
  • - Conduct research and market analysis, anticipate market needs. Identify and assess new business opportunities
  • - Ensure the company meets revenue and profit objectives
  • - Answer clients or prospects for any request of information or proposal
  • - Develop strategic relationships, network within the market, foster partnerships with sisters companies
  • - Build relationships with key contacts and identify short and long-term revenue opportunities while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction
  • - Gain respect of the customers and create sustainable relationship
  • - Teach industry standards
  • - Originate and sign contracts and agreements to achieve financial objectives
  • - Attract new clients
  • - Advise on, draft and enforce sales policies and processes
  • - Establish marketing strategic plan and identify Mergers and Acquisitions
  • - Structure and organize sales force / efforts / campaigns.

Sales Manager Job Description:

Summary of Job Purpose:

  • - Drive customer-focused Sales & Marketing analysis and efforts in US.
o Make a marketing analysis of data management & services in helicopter and business jet domain, identify business opportunities for SED and propose related action plan – Develop related sales
o Make a marketing analysis of space business in US, propose opportunities for SED and propose related action plan.
o Support Sales activities in space domain in relation with above action plan.
  • - Lead Safran Electronics & Defense, Avionics USA commercial interaction and negotiation with customers in line with strategic and financial goals set by the corporation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • - Reporting to the VP of Sales & Marketing, the Sales Manager serves as the strategic contact with the customer and is responsible for the overall satisfaction.
  • - Accountable for development and execution of sales plans that support company growth and profitability objectives.
  • - Conduct research and market analysis, identify new business opportunities.
  • - Responsible for pricing strategies in coordination with the VP of Sales & Marketing to achieve maximum margin, growth and financial targets.
  • - Responsible for proper negotiations of contracts.
  • - Accountable for customer proposals
  • - Cooperates with business management, program management and sales support functions in meeting customer and sales objectives.

  • - Bachelor degree in related major or more than 10 years related experience (sales or field marketing experience) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • - Preferred but not required, experience working with and/or for a foreign held company. French language skills a plus.
