Program Manager - CFM56 LRU + LEAP engine

Classification: Exempt
Reports to: VP of Programs
Date: 2/26/2020

Summary/Objective

Reporting to the VP of Programs and Planning, the primary responsibility of this position is to manage the material stream for the CFM56 engine line. The role covers all aspects of material stream management from acquisition through to setting of sales price and supporting sales. This program manager position is primarily focused on CFM56 LRU material, with growing responsibilities as LEAP Program Manager

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

  • • To forecast used material demand of customers.
  • • To ensure a consistent supply of serviceable material to satisfy customer demands in support of the business plan and forecast. This will include negotiating the orders of piece parts and packages with quality approved suppliers.
  • • Evaluating engines for acquisition and managing all tasks relating to the disassembly of the engine and repair of the material.
  • • Strategically Manage Vendor relationships.
  • • Provide commercial and technical support to the sales team.
  • • Management of consignment contracts and programs with external and internal customers.
  • • Setting of Sales Price.
  • • Building and maintenance of engine evaluation models.
  • • Define processes and material flow for the LEAP engine program, in coordination with the GE and Safran programs. Administer all aspects of the LEAP program and support its growth

Required Education and Experience

  • • Bachelors degree plus 3 years experience or 10 years of industry experience

Additional Eligibility Requirements

  • • Knowledge of Used Material Industry
  • • Demonstrated knowledge of CFM56 engines and material
  • • Excellent Excel/Access skills.
  • • Knowledge of FAA record requirements as they pertain to used engine parts

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
