Job description

 Support bids, advanced projects and developments with non-recurring and recurring costs estimates, including aftermarket costs
 Define tools and referential for production costs definition within Safran Seats
 Support and recommend initiation of design to cost & cost reduction activities, with the appropriate owners (product line manager, program manager or commodity manager). Occasionally steer such projects when agreed with relevant owner.
 Support all change control boards with the assessment of costs impacts of considered changes
 Define and implement Safran Seats standards costs management process, in order to ensure continuity of our costs commitments across the lifecycle of our products, from advanced projects and initial offer to final delivery
 Structure and improve globally the costing activity tools & methods
 Create or improve, standardize parametric recurring costs models and tools per commodity with the support from research & technology, commodity purchasing and aftermarket departments
 Create and maintain a non recurring costs model per family of product and complexity of developments
 Create and maintain a non recurring costs database with cost drivers (complexity / deliverables / product breakdown structure items…) and develop analysis for better understanding an reduction of our costs.

Job requirements

Education : BA or more in engineering or manufacturing
Experience : At least 10 years experience in costing, manufacturing engineering or engineering office.
Desired Hard Skills:
 Knowledge of several manufacturing processes and understanding of their cost structure with regard to both design and manufacturing work instruction
 Understanding of the role of enterprise resource planning tools
 Experience with design to cost methodologies
Desired Soft Skills:
 Ability to manage a global multi sites team
 Ability to influence without authority, experiences in transversal/cross-teams work
 Team player
 Interact with all functions (sales, products & innovation, engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations, purchasing…)
 Customer orientation
