Job description

Accountable for the right planning, industrialisation and supply of the products delivered by Camberley, and provides the resource to support low cost facilities.
Responsible for the financial planning of the entity and coordination with Safran Seats Great Britain, partake in the make or buy strategy, investments and resources to adapt to the challenges.
The Head of the CCE in Camberley will also face major challenges in the future, as several new major programs have been awarded recently. As a key lever, they will build up a solid, structured and trustful relationship with integrators in France and Britain.

Key Responsibilities:
Day to day leadership of all direct and indirect staff, programmes and outputs of the Composite Centre Camberley via clear oversight and guidance of the management team to deliver the 5 missions of the Composites Centre of Excellence and in doing so, deliver first class composite components to the integrator site customer.
Responsible for all direct and indirect staff in Composites OE production and support, reacting to RCCP/S&OP data and emerging production issues. Support all resources being transversally managed within Safran Group and Partner suppliers.
Represents the Composites Centre, Camberley in all Health and Safety Executive, AS9100 and EASA/CAA Pt 21G Audits.

Operations
Responsible for the safe and efficient operational activity of all Composites OE production colleagues in all work centres supported by the Composites Centre Operations Manager, Team Leaders and Coordinators. Support ‘All Hands' briefing to entire Direct and Indirect team every two months.
Responsible for devising and implementing the strategy for manufacturing all composite products for all OE programmes on time, to meet cost and quality requirements within available resource including unplanned work. Has veto on accepting production and will be held accountable for late deliveries.
Maintain and support daily QRQC (Quick Response Quality Control) activity on the shop floor to ensure daily SQCDP output is reviewed and formulating strategies to react to any poor performance areas.
Supports and promotes all Opex and One Safran events and company initiatives.

Industrialisation
Partner with industrialisation and production readiness of new programmes via the Composites Centre Industrialisation Manager and individual Programme Managers. This includes overseeing and guidance to generate the full scope of composite co-creation and industrialisation under Prompt/Handbook 4 and in accordance with local processes to the specific facility (including but not limited to CNC machine fixtures, MRP planning, inspection processes, Build Control Plans) and frequent interventions to guide and ensure observance of procedures and to constantly strive to improve and maintain standards.
Responsible for ensuring that the Safran Configuration Control standards are rigorously maintained and all engineering changes are implemented.

Manufacturing Engineering
Responsible for the performance of the Manufacturing Engineering Team via the Composites Centre Manufacturing Engineering Manager, to ensure all composite production processes in all work centres are being carried out in accordance with the relevant PCPs, PFMEAs are routinely evaluated and that all Non Conformances are reported accurately in EtQ (Excellence through Quality database) and responded to within agreed parameters.
Final determination for Proceed at Risk decisions in all composite production scenarios, ensuring that production is able to remain on schedule, while non-conformance or engineering standard deviation is identified, quarantined, investigated and resolved.

Planning and Logistics
Supported by Logistics and Operational Planning of all OE composite components for Seats including provision of S&OP data to VP Composites Centre and EVP Industrial and regular reviews of RCCP with Operations management.
Reviews all new work into the Composites Centre with the Planning and Operations Managers via a formalized Contract Review process to ensure the Composites Centre is at optimum loading and able to deliver to schedule within headcount and budget parameters.

Supply Chain
Responsibility for the composites production supply chain including advanced material provision, pre-preg and core materials, inserts/blocks and specialist components.

Specificity of the job

Attendance at events at other Seats Composite Sites in Chihuahua, Mexico, Tunisia and particularly St Crepin, France is a regular occurrence.
