Strategy
Sustainable aviation to build the world of tomorrow: Safran has adopted this mission for the coming years. To achieve its ambitions, the Group has developed a strategic roadmap and will depend on solid fundamentals.
Two strategic priorities to build the world of tomorrow
Decarbonization: towards carbon-neutral aviation by 2050
Rise to the challenges of climate change and sustainable mobility in air transport: these are the priorities of the Group climate strategy. Safran's ambition is to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050. To support the transition, the Group is counting on disruptive technologies such as the development of a new generation of engine architectures, reduced weight of equipment, the use of sustainable aviation fuels and hybrid electric technology. Decarbonization of the aviation sector also involves reducing the emissions from production and maintenance operations, including human activities and infrastructures, in the aircraft manufacturing industry. For this reason, Safran has implemented a low-carbon plan across all its production sites to significantly reduce the emissions from its operations. All our #SustainableAviation initativesSovereignty: working to protect citizens
In a backdrop of increasingly intense geopolitical tension, it is crucial to ensure the protection of citizens, by proposing defense solutions to the armed forces to prevent danger, preserve democratic stability, and enable nations to exercise their sovereignty. This is what Safran does, by developing observation, decision-making, and guidance products and services for the defense and space markets. This Group expertise is widely recognized on a global level and allows us to continue developing technologies in many other fields.

An ambitious CSR policy
Safran has developed a corporate social responsibility policy fully in line with the Group's corporate purpose. It was co-developed with all internal and external stakeholders with the aim of ensuring sustainable growth to help the Group perform better over the long term. It is based on four pillars: decarbonizing the aeronautical industry, being an exemplary employer, embodying responsible industry, and asserting our civic commitment.
