What will I be doing?
On occasion, during the service life of landing gear supplied to Aircraft manufacturers and Operators by Safran Landing Systems, the equipment supplied may require modification or replacement in service. This activity managed via a retrofit campaign.

Within SLS Landing Gear Integration perimeter, you will be responsible for the management and co-ordination for the replacement/modification of affected landing gear equipment in service, in line with strategy defined by the SLS Integrated Programme Team. In close coordination with the aircraft manufacturer and the Product Support Manager for the targeted programme, Safran Landing Systems retrofit team is responsible for preparing and managing all activities needed to ensure completion of the retrofit programmes within the agreed specified time frame and costs, whilst minimising the impact to airlines continued operations.

• Management of Customer Relationship with the major Airframers for the in-service retrofit support aspects, in close collaboration with the PSM of the targeted programme
• Responsible for defining the specific global campaigns and their execution, requiring liaison with internal Customer Support teams, for the provisioning and logistics aspects, the PSM, as well as Airlines and MRO's
• Manage, motivate and support a dedicated team within Customer Support Dept
• Arrange & report global status of all ongoing campaigns
• Establish support & commercial policies with Airframers
• Negotiate implementation of support policies as appropriate with MRO when repair activity is part of the retrofit strategy
• Generate SLS documentation to communicate campaign process to affected Airlines
• Liaison with all other internal functions (Engineering, Supply Chain, Programmes, MRO) to achieve customer requirements across the internal teams
• Manage set budgetary objectives
• Support actively the inventory optimisation company objectives
• Ensure the team is working against latest processes and standards applicable within the organisation
• Develop & implement digital tools for retrofit management

What do you need from me?

You will need excellent project management skills, including interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with a broad commercial & business awareness as well as customer-focussed mind-set.

Whilst a technical understanding of landing gear would be an asset for the role, organisational/planning skills coupled with entrepreneurial drive to improve efficiency in a cross-functional environments is key.

Evidence of proven agility and creativity in a customer-focused and/or operational environment will be an asset.
