Hydraulic Inspector & Fitter
The most intricate aerospace components and structures, inspected and assembled by you.
As a part of our Production team working for our MRO site (Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul), this Inspector & Fitter role is a key part of our Hydraulics team. You'll work with the latest equipment and gain valuable experience in aircraft production. You'll have opportunities to learn and progress, with investment being made on site it's an exciting time to join our growing local team.

What will I be doing?
• The production plan will demand various work-scopes to include test & repair, repair or overhaul
• Hydraulic units are tested on a rig to determine serviceability
• Serviceable units are inspected to be released back to service
• Failed test units require disassembly and subsequent inspection to return the unit to serviceability
• Parts are sentenced as serviceable, scrap or requiring repair
• Performing minor rework such as hand salvage, blending damaged material, polishing may be required in conjunction with assessing parts/components for repair
• Hydraulic units are fully assembled and tested to CMM & drawing maintenance data
• Responsibility and confidence to sign off and stamp one's own work for safe release back into service in line with all relevant build documentation
• Flexible to cover multiple technical disciplines

The working hours for this role are as follows;
6.40am - 3.15pm Monday to Thursday
6.40am - 11.50am Friday
Salary is £35,133 progressing to £37,231 upon completion of first training stamp obtained.

What do I need to succeed in this role?
• Basic computer skills are essential
• Apprentice trained or equivalent qualifications
• Experience in working with Inspection & Fitting on Aircraft Landing Gears and Components
• Ability to use precision measuring and test equipment
• Dedicated, team player, decisive, target driven, skills flexible, positive attitude.
• Good communication
