Job description
As a Manufacturing Engineer working within the Structures UAP there will be a number of technical & project based opportunities with a diverse & varied workload & the opportunity to have a positive impact on the manufacturing activities & technologies of the site, including introduction of new assets & digital tools, refining existing production methods & industrialising new production parts.
You will work closely with other functional departments, particularly Production, Quality & Engineering, to ensure robust techniques & controls are put in place & aligned with SAFRAN processes, communicating opportunities to develop most efficient ways to use people, parts and tooling, working with the cross functional team to implement & measure these changes.
Working within a defined Manufacturing Engineering Value Stream, you will report to the ME Team leader. Key aspects of the job will include;
Creation of clear and accurate work instructions for composites cleanroom, post cleanroom & assembly processes.
Definition, modification & maintenance of manufacturing process documentation, including work instruction sheets, condition of supply documents, engineering change requests & Quality documentation.
Support production through industrialisation & serial production, identifying process improvements & eradication of non-quality issues.
Innovative in the use of Lean Sigma tools to optimise the manufacturing process for each component / assembly, based on the correct balance of cost, quality & lead time, ensuring a robust & repeatable process.

Candidate skills & requirements
HNC in a relevant engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience of working with 3D models & 2D drawings.
SAP (or equivalent ERP system) knowledge.
Knowledge of APQP & PPAP documentation.
Risk management using PFMEA.
Support the dispositioning of manufacturing non-conformances and definition of associated repair solutions.
Structured problem solving including 8D, RCCA, QRQC etc.
Contribute to HSE & ergonomic conformity throughout the production lines & site.
