Description du poste

To act as the bridge between Industrialization team, Suppliers and the Engineering team to ensure completion of fit for purpose products optimized for manufacturability, test and cost – with a focus on working within and across all engineering teams to define product and component key characteristics, auditing and feedback on lessons learned.
Help define critical components in our products as we move forward into certification activities by championing DFMEAs
Help develop and implement new manufacturing methods/ tools to improve takt time, cost and quality.

- Represent the technical functions within the project team in reviews
- Project planning and reporting to different stakeholders (internal and external)
- Responsible to challenge the design in order to optimise the manufacturability, testability and cost
- Ensure the industrial scheme is compatible with manufacturability objectives of repeatability and reproducibility of products
- Ensure the design considerations are correctly taken into account in the manufacturing process
- Lead maintenance, control and validation of the manufacturing procedures and processes (physical or documentation), in-order to ensure repeatable and reproducible parts, (Internal and External).
- Ensure the manufacturing constraints are correctly taken into account in the design
- Leads the interaction between stakeholders, (internal and external) and the engineering design team from concept inception and ensure this interaction is maintained throughout the design life cycle of the product.
- Responsible for managing the design of the required tooling (3D design)
- Responsible for the creation of Total Preventative Maintenance (TPM) guidelines for tooling, to prevent non-conformance (External and Internal).
- Engineering focal point for operation coordination and supervision of application of industrialisation process GRP-0165, 002039 and 002037
- Identify bottlenecks, expenditure and resource requirements
- Lead robust production practices, i.e. generation of process flow and control plans in line with aerospace, and industry best practice as appropriate
- Lead creation and maintenance of Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
- Responsible of the correct definition of the key characteristics in the design and to validate the manufacturing quality control associated to the KCs.
- Create and deliver road map for industrialisation of parts to meet factory 4.0 roadmap
- Deliver key processes and equipment in line with the factory of the future roadmap.
- Implement new manufacturing methods/ tools to meet factory of the future roadmap
- Lead and support audits with customers, regulatory bodies and partners.
- Lead and support Root Cause Analysis investigations

- Staff – None direct but indirectly will have to work with the Engineering project teams, Industrialization team and SRPMS to develop products optimized for manufacturability, test and cost with a focus on component key characteristics, auditing and Feedback.
- Coordination and technical management of the different work package leaders within the project team
- Successful industrialisation of products
o Reduced quality issues in production (internal and external)
o Tools fit for purpose used for each task
o Design optimised for manufacturability, testability and cost
o Assemble and test parts that meet takt time and volume requirements
o Documentation available for operators to build and test the unit consistently.
o Design to Cost and Design for Manufacture engineering targets met (Cost, quality and volume)
- Delivery of project(s) to budget and schedule
- Successful audits with both internal and external stakeholders
- Update of PFEMA, DFMEA, Key characteristics, critical component definition in line with lesson learned.
- Key processes and equipment implemented in line with factory of the future roadmap
- 3 to 4 DFMEAs review across engineering projects per quarter

Exigences du poste

- Degree – Mechanical Engineering/ Industrial engineering or a related discipline or equivalent experience / combined education
- Experience in CAD software (NX preferable)

- Tooling design knowledge advantage
- Experience and understanding of modern manufacturing processes and Factory of future solutions.
- Experience managing & implementing advanced manufacturing processes within a low-medium-high volume production environment.
- Experience designing and implementing high volume production lines.
- Experience of low volume engineering sample manufacture in the automotive or aerospace sectors would be advantageous
- Experience of growing facilities to support high volume automotive or aerospace customers from concept
- Experience simulating high volume production lines, creation of value stream maps, flow lines, stock management solutions etc.
- An understanding of the Industrialisation process for new processes and equipment.
- Knowledge of industry standard industrialisation tools (PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, DVI etc.).
- Planning & risk mitigation ability.
- Delegation & supervision ability.
- Must be able to manage people of differing personalities.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
- Commercial awareness of the criticality of controlling costs (NRC & RC)
- Experience of introducing new products and developments into a production environment
- Comfortable with presenting to a large audience, whether seniors, customers or authorities.
- Able to support and assist work package leaders in order to develop their skills.
- Must be organised and have excellent time management skills.
- Knowledge of industry standard industrialisation tools (PPAP, PFMEA, DFMEA, DVI etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to deliver on time and the ability to find creative solutions to issues when required
- Experienced practitioner of Lean tools and techniques

• Evidence of written English at interview stage. This will be through providing certification of a formal English or technical qualification studied in the UK or overseas in English. If this cannot be provided you will be required to complete and pass an online SHL English comprehension test as part of the interview process.
