Supporting engineering in part qualification and tooling verification
• Develop and implement machine calibration process
• SMR tooling
• Production tool life analysis
• Serial production machining program analysis (Optimization with engineering)
• Run qualification/FAI/capability study parts to support engineering industrialization
• Creating TPM procedures
• Develop decision tree for troubleshooting
• Daily production support
• Cutting jaws, pulling chucks and plates, burning in spindles
• Checking machine alignments
• CMM report analysis and verification. Work with engineering for CMM program development
• Level 1 automation and machine troubleshooting in conjunction with Maintenance
• Training of T3 trainers for automation, operator level PMs, tool inspection, procedural changes/document updates
• Lead operator assessments for advancement
• Submit and support continuous improvement ideas to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost (KPI)
• Develop and maintain a strong working relationship with Scheduling/Planning, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, and other support personnel
• Develop TPM procedures and assist in TPM training development and execution
• Complete technical training as specified by the Production Lead
• Perform other related duties as required
Physical/Environment Scope of Position:
• Must demonstrate the physical capacity to meet the demands of the "Light" Job Placement Assessment (JPA) as administered by St. Elizabeth Business Health Services
• May work in/near electro-magnetic fields created by high temperature induction furnaces
• Subjected to inside environmental conditions, noise, vibration, oils and other related industrial hazards
• Vocal communication, hearing, and visual acuity are required for safety, direction, and the exchange of ideas in the industrial environment
• May work in confined spaces and wear a respirator and/or self-contained breathing apparatus
• May be exposed to and handle hazardous wastes as defined in 40 CFR 261.3

Experience/Education/Certification Required:

• Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience with process automation, CNC, CMM, and associated equipment systems
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and monitoring control systems
• High level of analytical skills
• Training in principles of lean manufacturing, TPM, 5S
