The mission takes place in a context of ramp up into the aftermarket business and within the ambitious framework of transforming the supply chain of Safran Electronics and Defense Aftermarket division.
The Distribution Centers Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and third-party contractors or consultants to deliver projects according to plan. The Project Manager will also oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive project plans that align with company goals and objectives.
- Manage projects from initiation through completion, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversee the execution of projects related to aviation distribution centers (e.g., parts warehouses, supply chain hubs), ensuring all activities are conducted in compliance with aviation industry standards and regulations (e.g., FAA, IATA).
- Implement and utilize project management tools to track progress, costs, and performance against the project plan.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project stakeholders, including internal teams, airlines, manufacturers, regulatory counterparts, and third-party logistics providers.
- Identify potential project risks, particularly those unique to the aviation industry (e.g., regulatory changes, supply chain disruptions, AOG, and/or geopolitical factors).
- Assess and mitigate project risks; identify contingency plans.
- Lead initiatives to enhance efficiency and effectiveness within aviation distribution centers, optimizing processes for inventory management, order fulfillment, and parts distribution.
- Implement lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices to minimize waste and improve operational workflow.

- Oversee the development and implementation of distribution center operations, ensuring optimal workflow and efficiency.
- Lead and support initiatives aimed at enhancing sustainability within aviation distribution centers, such as reducing carbon footprint, waste management, and promoting environmentally friendly practices.
- Foster a collaborative and productive working environment.

Required Competencies:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 5+ years of project management experience, particularly in distribution centers or similar environments.
- Strong understanding of distribution center operations and logistics.
- Proven track record of managing projects within deadlines and budgets.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
- Project management certification preferred.
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware that is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Job Knowledge:
Demonstrated ability to set and achieve stretch goals quickly, while possessing strong people skills
Certification by NAPM or APICS preferred
Experience applying Lean and Continuous Improvement ideas
Understands and applies Quality and Safety standards consistently
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Office, SharePoint and SAP
