Job Summary:

Within Finance organization and attached to the Head of Finance Controlling, you will be in charge of Government Accounting for production and development activities. Acting as a Business Partner, you will represent Finance within a cross-functional team.

Essential Job Functions:
• Calculate assigned overhead rates for quarterly actuals and yearly preliminary final rates.
• Partner with business unit Controllers to develop forecasted forward pricing rate financials on a CAS/FAR compliant basis (forward pricing rate proposal, or “FPRP”), based on the GAAP financial plan.
• Serve as a point of contact with senior USG leadership (DACO, DCMA, DCAA) on overhead rates, compliance, financial reporting, and audit related matters.
• Negotiate forward pricing rate agreements (FPRA) with the USG in partnership with the business unit Financial Controllers.
• Responsible for interpretation and application of USG regulations (Cost Accounting Standards, FAR cost principles) in support of Business Unit inquiries, USG customer and internal sub-contractors.
• Monitor annual GAAP and USG accounting change process.
• Assist in developing and maintaining USG accounting disclosure statements as needed.
• Partner with the Government Finance team to drive and maintain a sound USG controls environment and to provide guidance to business unit customers on compliance related matters.

Location: SEDA, Grand Prairie (TX) or Rockford (IL), USA

Potential travel within Europe (UK, France & Italy) could occur

Education/Experience:
• Required: Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Preferred: Master's degree in accounting, Finance, or an MBA
• Equivalent relevant work experience (typically 6–8+ years) may substitute for a Master's degree, especially if the candidate has strong aerospace or defense industry experience
• At least 5 years of experience in Finance Controlling and/or Government Accounting

Required Competencies:
• Familiar with USG regulations and aerospace business model
• Familiar with IFRS, in particular IFRS15 for Revenue Recognition
• Accustomed to usual office software (MO365) and trained on SAP EEC6
• Comfortable sharing your opinions and ideas while benevolent to others' suggestions
• Ability to evolve in a strong multi-cultural environment. English is mandatory and one foreign language would be considered as a plus (French, Italian, Hindi)
• US citizen

Experience in relevant business sector:
Experience within aerospace industry a plus but not required.

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly required to remain in a stationary position and occasionally move about the office and laboratory. Constantly operate and use a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a copier/printer and laboratory machinery. The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information. The ability to observe, identify and assess details at close range (within a few feet of the observer). Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds across office for various needs.

Work Environment:
This job operates in both a shop floor setting and a professional office environment. The work environment will be mainly performed in the office. Noise level in the office is typically quiet. Hybrid work is an option. This is a non-benefitted role.
