The Electrical Quality Inspector performs inspection activities on harnesses, parts and components, as well as on mechanical, electrical/electronic and hydraulic equipment in accordance with the current technical data. It requires technical knowledge, expertise, effective diagnostic and testing techniques related to a wide variety of equipment.

Summary of Duties:
• Performs skilled inspection activities that involve diagnosis of a variety of electrical parts, harnesses, equipment, components and/or systems.
• Uses diagnostic and test equipment and a variety of tools specific to the trade.
• Applies principles and practices of electrical and electronics theories.
• Interprets and follows technical manuals, blueprints, mechanical drawings, schematics, Service Bulletins, Airworthiness Directives, government and industry standard practices.
• Makes computer entries and completes various types of paperwork inspection and certification documents in accordance with FAA Regulations and company policies.
• Follows industry/government specific guidelines, particularly as they relate to safety, health and environmental practices.
• Assists with research and development of new capabilities; this will include reading and understanding new manuals and may include on and off site training.
• Assists with the maintenance of shop equipment and supplies.
• Maintains on organized workstation and shop floor in accordance with 5S standards in place.

Level 1
Education: High School diploma or
Experience: 1-3 years.
Computer Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Other Skills:
• Understanding of electrical components, parts, and assemblies such as harnesses.
• Strong attention to details and work in a fast-paced department
• Ability to handle stress diplomatically.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English language.
• Ability to use common hand tools and precision measuring equipment such as micrometers.
• Ability to use electrical measuring equipment such as multimeter and gauges.
• Ability to safely operate electrical equipment (power supplies) in accordance with company policies
• Crimping and Soldering Skills
• Ability to read and interpret component manuals and drawings in order to inspect equipment and identify malfunctions.
Preferred Skills (not required):
• 2-year technical degree
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
