Occupational Summary:
Lead a team of professionals responsible for monitoring and managing the operational performance of a supplier panel in terms of delivery and quality from the selection phase to the serial production phase. Lead the team and where necessary, directly manage the action plans with suppliers in the event of recurrent performance drift, until there is a return to an acceptable level of performance. In the framework of an established contract or purchase order, obtaining and concluding the implementation of improvement plans with suppliers, enabling them to continuously increase their maturity level. Work to guarantee the consistency of improvement actions initiated by all the parties in the supply chain responsible for the suppliers

Duties and Responsibilities (essential functions):

A) Lead the team responsible for the development and implementation of the Business Units Supplier Performance Management strategy, including but not limited to train, evaluate employee performance, and initiate promotions, transfers and corrective action.
B) Managing the delivery and quality performance of the panel suppliers in coordination with the Commodity Management, procurement and supplier quality teams
C) Defining and coordinating the monitoring plan. Validating its implementation with the Commodity Management, procurement and supplier quality teams. Validating the risk analyses and associated actions.
D) Measuring and analyzing the efficiency of the monitoring and ensuring that it is capitalized upon and continuously improved
E) Planning, coordinating and possibly conducting the following audits and assessments with suppliers: Capacity, Rate Readiness, Production Management, Organizational Structure, Sub tier Supply Chain, Quality, Process, et, and ensuring that they are successfully concluded.Conducting monthly consolidation of supplier performance. Ensuring the consistency of the measures taken by the suppliers. Establishing, distributing and sharing the scorecard
F) Managing supplier ratings
G) Conducting internal supplier performance coordination reviews. Coordinating and monitoring internal action plans and action plans with suppliers, and terminating them once the results are achieved and lasting

H) Steering the supplier action plans in the event of recurrent malfunctions. Validating the corrective action requests and responses of suppliers in the event of recurrent and/or major incidents («supply chain crisis», quality alert, etc.)
I) In the framework of the contract or purchase order, coordinating the improvement actions of suppliers by:
i. defining the objectives on a half-yearly basis --incorporating the contextual elements of the supplier relationship
ii. engaging in the supplier commercial relationship and strategy; where appropriate
iii. adhering to contracts in place
iv. communicating identified risks
v. regularly reporting on the performance obtained
vi. guranteeing the commitment of the supplier

J) Providing an interface for any problems of performance with respect to the supply chain and program contacts of the Safran companies
K) Participating in ensuring the smooth operation of the bodies associated with the management, reporting and scaling up of the procedure
L) Assisting the VP Purchasing in preparing the supplier performance steering committee
M) Consolidating and passing on the non-quality costs and delivery penalties in coordination with the Commodity Manager responsible for the supplier and strongly supporting efforts to ensuretheir payment
N) Ensuring compliance with applicable Safran Supplier Performance Management processes, procedures, (i.e. GRP's, SST's, etc).
O) Performs other duties as assigned.

Competencies: Acts in accordance with company values and related competencies.

Communication Skills: Must have the ability to generate written communication and to operate required office equipment. Ability to read and review written communication. Speech and hearing abilities that allow individual to communicate clearly and distinctly in English.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve problems and think strategically.

Physical Demands: This position requires extended periods of sitting while working with computers and viewing computer monitors and other office equipment.

Qualification Requirements:

A) Knowledge and Skills:
i) Cross-functional management
ii) Operational experience of over 10 years fully in contact with
Suppliers in a structure such as purchasing, supply chain, quality
iii) Proficiency in written and spoken English
iv) Project management
v) Lean-Sigma Greenbelt
vi) Computer knowledge: Microsoft Office Suite; data base management skills preferred
B) Education and Experience:
i) Bachelor's degree and 10 years of Supply chain experience OR 20 years of Experience in supply chain, Maters Degree a plus
ii) Knowledge of the development, planning and production processes
iii) Knowledge of industrial management methods (kanban, MRP2,
iv) Strong background in use of Quality tools (AMDEC, 8D, Ishikawa, 5p, etc)
