In the role of Supplier Quality Assurance, you will be assigned production plant, programs and suppliers, in coordination with the Quality Department and the Materials Department. You will manage plant supplier incoming quality and support supplier incident resolution and prevention in support of the division and site specific supplier quality performance targets. This position contributes to our vision by:
Review weekly supplier quality incidents in TipQA looking for supplier defect trends;
Initiate, communicate, track, review, approve or reject- Issues Supplier Corrective Action plans (SCAR/PDCA) and pursues resolution with all suppliers. Works in conjunction with the Supplier Performance Manager (SPM) for resolution of critical supplier systemic/recurring quality issues;
Plan, schedule and implement supplier improvement projects as directed by SPM to improve specific suppliers quality performance;
Identify potential opportunities for improvement with specific suppliers;
Provide and collect data for cost recovery for supplier quality incidents as required per process and provide/communicate to the SPM; maintain status of cost recovery data;
Maintain all supplier performance (Quality, Delivery, Cost Recovery, etc.) related metrics for assigned scope (plant, program, supplier, etc.). Including tracking, documenting, validating and reporting data monthly with nonconformance data by supplier.
Provide such data to SPM for use in Division level reporting;
Provide visibility and feedback form suppliers of invalid incidents to originating organizations to improve process.

• Bachelor Degree or 3-5 years of related experience in Quality, Materials, Supplier Management, Supply Chain or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Prefers a technical degree.
• Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office - Advanced
• Ability to follow-up metrics and analyze data - Advanced
• AS9100 and Quality management systems – Basic
• Proven background in supplier corrective action utilizing industry methods such as 8D, PDCA, fishbone etc - Advanced
• Ability to solve problems with suppliers and drive performance – Advanced
• Requires excellent written and verbal communication – Advanced
