The SPQM Toronto: MP & SP serves as the SPQM focal point for the Toronto site and is responsible for supplier performance in the Machined Parts & Special Processes commodities.

Duties & Responsibilities:
o Serve as the SPQM focal point for the Toronto Operations team.
o Manage the operational performance (logistics and quality) of suppliers.
o Ensure the monitoring of suppliers and their approvals.
o Conduct qualification and monitoring audits.
o Support the development of suppliers.
o Lead initiatives to ensure supplier rate readiness, specifically on Toronto programs.
o Participate in the evaluation of suppliers during the selection process.
o Actively manage the level of supplier risk, define and deploy the associated monitoring plans.
o Analyze the logistics and quality performance of suppliers and quantify the logistic and quality compensation (supplier scorecard & performance letters).
o Lead the escalation process for non-performing suppliers in case of escalation to the red / black level.
o Manage supplier approvals, ensure that quality requirements are taken into account by suppliers & SLS.
o Promote best practices within the supply chain (MRPII, QRQC, 8D, AMDEC, SPC, etc.).
o Support suppliers in the implementation of progress plans in line with SLS objectives and customer requirements.
o Serve as a coach and support the Toronto SPQL team.

International aerospace experience, cross-functional preferred – with an emphasis on Supply Chain & Quality.
Team management experience.

Specialized Knowledge:
Safran requirements & documentary system including Quality Standards, Supply Chain principles, tools and audits.

Communication Skills
Internal:
Must have strong interpersonal and effective communication skills.
Must be comfortable presenting to senior management and working as part of cross-functional teams.
External:
Must have strong interpersonal and effective communication skills to work with the Supply Chain.
Represent the company externally. Must be persuasive, collaborative and confident.
