Working within the Analysis and Reporting team within Finance, the applicant will be responsible for:
• Reporting on all sales and revenues types, including:
• Reviewing SAP and ensuring all transactions have cleared
• Monitoring for blocked invoices and assisting sales teams with resolution
• Tracking sales by program on a monthly and YTD basis
• Analysis of sales, margin and volume variances vs budget and prior year
• Understanding Safran treatment of FX in accordance with IFRS and allocating it properly within sales
• Provide daily sales reports on spares sales and MRO sales
• Track the interco sales, spares and MRO business
• Find efficiencies in reporting through use of financial tools such as FIT and PowerBI
• provide ad hoc reporting of sales when requested
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Budgeting – prepare and enter the sales data into the budget
• Prepare comparative reporting required (budget vs prior budgets vs actuals)
• Forecasting – monthly prepare the 3 month rolling sales forecast
• Assist other department members as required
• Year End
• Prepare consolidated reports for all sites
• Assist with the annual review with external auditors with focus on sales analysis. Other analysis may be required.
• Aide in preparing the notes to the financial statements, as required.

• Account reconciliations as required
• Assist with monitoring expense reports for Internal Controls
• Stats Canada reporting as required
• Support other internal controls as required
• Reporting Efficiencies
• First working within the Financial Controlling group and then across all of finance, identify and correct inefficiencies in reporting and data presentation. Using tools in SAP or Power BI streamline the processes making data more useful for management.

Exigences du poste

- University degree in Business or Commerce; or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of related experience in financial accounting, reporting, modeling, costing, budgeting and analysis is required
- Ability to interpret and apply accounting principles
- Working knowledge of SAP is an asset
- Working knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) systems or experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (i.e. SQL, MSAccess, Essbase and/or Cognos)
- Detail oriented, excellent judgment, initiative and decision-making skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
- Ability to work effectively independently and as an integral member of a team
- Very strong customer service orientation and has the highest degree of integrity and commitment to confidentiality
A recognized accounting designation or working towards an accounting designation (CPA or equivalent)
