Description of the role :
The Methods agent is responsible for analyzing customer and internal documents (CSD, engineering drawings, material and process specifications, etc.) in order to prepare and provide the necessary inputs and support for internal functions. The Method department reports to the Method Supervisor under the Engineering department.
Description of the tasks :
Prepare manufacturing work instructions from engineering drawings and specifications (structural, mechanical or electrical assembly).
Take part in determining production manufacturing sequence and optimal time breakdown.
Provide support with regards to work instructions, technical assistance, non-conformities, procedures, change management, etc.
Participate and contribute in the choice of manufacturing methods and the improvement of production operations.
Provide technical assistance for production during problem solving initiatives.
Address modifications/changes requests to the engineering teams (internal or external).
Review and analyze engineering package using Configuration Management tools
Validate technical data such as 2D drawings, 3D Models, CSD (Condition of Supply), BOM (Bill of Material) for accuracy and completeness.
Manage data workflows using SmarTeam and follow up on actions until release.
Manage and provide daily tasks update using ETM (Engineering Task Management) system.

Qualifications & Other Skills: :
Education: College degree in a related field
Experience: minimum 2 years of experience in methods or manufacturing/production experience.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, SmarTeam, Catia V5 and Catia Composer.
Proficient with reading engineering drawings
Have working understanding of manufacturing material and processes.
Thoroughness and attention to detail.
Languages: Ability to communicate in French and English
