Description de la mission

Job Location : Twinsburg, Ohio

*Must be a United States citizen or possess the legal right to work in the U.S. on military and commercial applications.

The Test Engineer will establish test procedures and coordinate testing of products under development. They will be responsible for testing projects within the scope of Engineering and Production that need to be completed, verifying and validating new tests, and performing automated and manual tests, while interpreting results and debugging issues. It is also incumbent upon senior engineers to perform routine machine maintenance and repairs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • - Coordinates and performs tests at the development and quality control stages of the manufacturing process.
  • - Perform Production Testing.
  • - Gathers and studies information regarding materials and components to be used in production.
  • - Drafts proposals for testing programs and operating procedures; outlines the specific testing conditions to be applied.
  • - Tests new products; develops systems to gather digital data during testing.
  • - Studies the data gathered during testing and evaluates the validity of the results.
  • - Identifies any problems with new products; makes adjustments or recommendations to resolve problems.
  • - Continues testing and analysis until results are within product requirements and specifications.
  • - Drafts detailed technical reports to present findings; based on findings, recommends modifications needed to correct production problems.
  • - Able to assist with performing environmental, developmental, and qualification tests on electrical generators and generator control units.
  • - Set up test equipment and fixtures to perform tests.
  • - Assist with the modification of test fixtures, control circuits, and instrumentation.
  • - Assist in programming test computers to control tests and record test data.
  • - Diagnose and troubleshoot test failures.
  • - Work with product design engineers to develop test methods to assure that specification performance requirements are met.
  • - Write clear and complete test procedures, instructions, and test reports.
  • - Work with facility manager in assessing and modifying facility infrastructure when installing new test equipment.
  • - Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture.
  • - Other duties may be assigned.
  • - Evening/night hours may be required.
  • - Extra hours may be required during business peaks.

Physical Demands:
May require long periods of sitting or standing.
May require lifting less than 35 lbs.
May require prolonged repetitive use of upper extremities.
May entail working in a noisy environment.
May require working on the ground.

Work Environment:
The office area is a typical office environment requiring the use of typical office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, etc.) Computer keyboarding, computer monitor and mouse use including reaching forward, grasping, finger and wrist manipulation, and neck bending and turning; near vision is necessary for computer monitor use.

The laboratory area is a testing environment requiring the proper use of PPE and awareness of surroundings. It may be required to use tools, power tools, lifting equipment, working at heights, working in small spaces, and the use of various measurement and inspection tools.

Votre profil

*Must be a United States citizen or possess the legal right to work in the U.S. on military and commercial applications.

Education and/or Experience

  • • A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent is required and
A minimum of five (5) years' of related work experience.
  • • In lieu of a Bachelor's degree, an Associate's degree in Engineering, or equivalent, and
A minimum of seven (7) years' related work experience

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to discuss product flaws in a constructive and positive manner.
* Excellent technical writing skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software to prepare test reports and proposals

Preferred Skills :
* Proficient in LABView.
* Able to operate a tow motor and/or scissor lift.
* Understanding of aircraft power generation.
* Familiarity with DO-160 and MIL-STD environmental testing.
* Skilled in the use of Hydraulic Oil and Scavenge Systems.
* Strong Troubleshooting skills.
