Description de la mission

In line with Safran's vision for the More Electric Aircraft, Labinal Power Systems | Power Division is responsible for becoming a world-class developer and manufacturer of Ram Air Turbine (RAT) systems for use in aerospace emergency power generation (5-50 kW). A RAT is a small wind turbine that can be extended from an aircraft.
The Design/Analysis/Test Engineer will be responsible for conducting static, fatigue and dynamics analyses of RAT mechanical components and mechanisms using both classical methods and FEA software. The ideal candidate must possess 3D CAD/CAE experience and must be familiar with a wide range of materials including composites. The ideal candidate will be well versed in performing mechanical, thermal, and CFD analyses. Familiarity with strain gage testing/analyses, modal and vibration testing is desired. The role will be based in Twinsburg, Ohio, but may interface with other Safran sites globally.
