Description de la mission

Reporting to General Manager, this position will direct and coordinate all phases of production through direct supervision of subordinates and in coordination with supporting organizations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • • Coordinates his team with a view to satisfying customers in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery (QCD),
  • • Negotiates between organizations to develop onload/offload plans and integrated schedules using knowledge of production systems (e.g., supply, engineering, manufacturing, support, etc);
  • • Monitors and ensures compliance with plans and schedules and reports status to Management and Customers as required;
  • • Interfaces with multiple organizations, as required, to ensure success of the plant;
  • • Acts as the focal point for coordination between manufacturing sites regarding work transition;
  • • Acts as the primary interface to customers for day to day production;
  • • Works directly with the manufacturing ATL to ensure production and quality requirements are met;
  • • Conducts weekly/daily production meetings to understand progress and track actions;
  • • Supports customer PMRs as required;
  • • Reviews with Programs / Sales departments customer requirements like contracts, pricing, engineering changes, delivery and quality trends in order to meet customer demands;
  • • Assure that the production capacity is sufficient to fullfill customer demand and inventories
  • • Identifies and communicates impact items and prepares plans to mitigate impact or recover;
  • • Monitors revenue and prepares rolling forecasts;
  • • Manage the profitability of the UAP with preparing the budget and managing the actual production costs, the prudct margin and the productivity (perhaps redundant with the line below wbout the P&L)
  • • P&L and working capital responsibilities;
  • • Develops and maintains teamwork with all levels of personnel;
  • • Develop metrics, reports, routines to monitor the Production unit performance;
  • • Has knowledge of production systems (e.g, supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, tooling, etc);
  • • Effectively interfaces with business partners in all areas including customers, key employees, managers, sales, supply chain, and finance and support personnel to achieve strategic goals;
  • • Motivates and leads staff in organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling to ensure that desired results are achieved in day-today operations and in meeting mid-to long term strategic goals;
  • • Develops and implements LEAN and Six Sigma initiatives. Define and implement changes to improve processes and financial results;
  • • Coordinates process improvement activities with Safran + Manager;
  • • Administers programs to ensure employee safety and compliance with all OSHA requirements;
  • • Adheres to safe work practices and contributes to the evolution of the health, safety, and environmental program and culture;
  • • Regular, predictable attendance is required;
  • • Other duties may be assigned.

Votre profil

Education and/or Experience
Requires a Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering or related field and 5+ years in production management, Engineering, or Project management or combination of education and experience. Prefers 5+ years of wiring and/or machining manufacturing experience.


  • • Knowledge of prduction ressource planning tools (MRP/ERP), production methods (Kanban. 5S, Hoshin,..) and quality tools (QRQC)
  • • Must have proven analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to effectively motivate both internal and external resources to achieve objectives - Expert
  • • Effective negotiating skills - Advanced
  • • Must have the ability to lead cross-functional teams - Expert
  • • Extensive verbal and technical writing skills and excellent presentation skills required - Expert
  • • Requires proficiency with Microsoft Office packages - Advanced
