Description de la mission

The Global Supplier Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for leading the Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) governance to assure the quality of the direct articles purchased by the company.
POWER Division supplier's foot print is a worldwide one and as those suppliers are followed by local SQAs, the activities of SQAs in all sites have to be strongly coordinated.
It is one of the missions of this role to coordinate this “global” team compliance with support of site Quality Managers.
Includes indirect management of a small team of SQA Engineers located in Pitstone (Bucks, UK) & Twinsburg (Ohio, USA) sites to ensure process standardisation and compliance.

  • • Implement and continuously monitor common respective documented processes across, the different POWER sites that support Pitstone production, taking into account SE&P and SAFRAN processes in alignment with Supply Chain, Purchasing and Engineering activity.
  • • Support & coach Purchasing team on root cause corrective actions and improvements taking into account the learnings and findings.
  • • Represent the quality function during Supplier selection process and maintain an up to date approved suppliers listing including approval / removal of suppliers and periodic assessment to regulations CAA / EASA / FAA / CAAC Part 21G / 145 and AS9100 standards.
  • • Ensure that SAFRAN requirements for suppliers are flowed down and followed for new developments, and reach agreement with all interested parties in case of non-compliance proposed by suppliers through close collaboration with the Supplier Account Managers and the SQAs'.
  • • Represent quality function to ensure the supplier's manufacturing methods are robust enough and in full compliance with the relevant processes, (and Safran requirements) which concludes with FAI / PVI.
  • • Work closely with the key stakeholders to plan and align Supplier and internal monitoring actions and its governance.
  • • Work with stakeholders to ensure a suite of metrics are in place for the business to support supplier Quality activity.
  • • Along with team will ensure supplier compliance to implemented Program Quality Assurance Plans.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • • Ensures and supports effective governance within a small team of Commodity based SQA Engineers based in UK and USA.
  • • SQA Engineers will interface directly with the NA & EURASIA Supplier's and ultimately act as a pool of resource for the POWER Purchasing Team.
  • • No direct budget responsibility – but will identify training needs, system weaknesses and opportunities to improve methods of functional and business working through audits and make recommendations for the appropriate expenditure to deliver these actions.
  • • Ensures Suppliers compliance to SAFRAN requirements annually.

  • • Suppliers targets meeting SAFRAN requirements.
  • • Up to date and optimised Approved Supplier Database.
  • • Compliance matrices fully assessed and in compliance for all SAFRAN suppliers.
  • • Supplier's manufacturing methods in full compliance with the relevant process.
  • • Maintain full adherence to an agreed Supplier annual audit plan.
  • • Maintain zero supplier's system, process or product anomalies (RCCA, concessions and waivers).
  • • Maintain, monitor and suggest improvement actions within a suite of metrics that meet business targets (using policy deployment).
  • • Maintain full supplier compliance to implemented Program Quality Assurance Plans.

Votre profil

  • • Previous aerospace experience and of working with Quality regulations CAA / EASA / FAA / CAAC Part 21G / Part 145 and standards AS9100 / AS9102 / AS9145 as a minimum.
  • • Lead auditor qualified.
  • • Effective written and verbal communication skills able to interface with key stakeholders.
  • • Apply continuous improvement objectives, support departmental training programmes, and ensuring maximum flexibility and skills are achieved.
  • • Proven leadership experience of managing cross-functional teams remotely.
  • • Strong influencer with the ability to drive a step change in approach to quality assurance.
  • • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external customer / supplier.
  • • Organised and disciplined approach.
  • • Proactive and comfortable to challenge others across the business to complete allocated task.
  • • Ability to travel to other locations (within the UK, France & USA) as required for the role.


  • • Evidence of written English at interview stage. This will be through providing certification of a formal English or technical qualification studied in the UK or overseas in English. If this cannot be provided you will be required to complete and pass an online SHL English comprehension test as part of the interview process.
