Job type: Fixed-term 6 Months

Role description

Responsible & accountable for the delivery of accurate computations of the total cost of production for the Burnley Site. Delivery of accurate & timely reporting on the global cost of production. Including industrial processes, purchasing, WIP/Inventory, direct/indirect overheads & hourly rate calculation for monthly results, forecasting and budget processes.

  • • Management of 2 Industrial Controllers (1-1's, Appraisals/Objectives/T&A)
  • • Management of the Supply Chain Controller (1-1's, Appraisals/Objectives/T&A)
  • • Ensuring that key stakeholders including FD, FC, UAPS, HR etc.… are communicated to, informed & aligned with local/Group requirements
  • • Responsible for ensuring delivery of the key milestones for the Industrial & Supply Chain Controllers
  • • Responsible for the delivery of group requirements
  • • Alignment & upfront communications with the Finance Director, Programme Director & Operations Director for total site analysis
  • • Consolidate month end result explanations for day 3 close out meeting
  • • Headcount and Salary related reporting (Actual/Budget/Forecast)
  • • Cover key financial governance meetings including the CORES
  • • (Committee of Results) and the Partnership Forum meetings for Financial Controller
  • • Be the right hand person to the FC for business performance
  • • Present, understand & guide the total Site performance in the monthly COCIND (Committee of Industrial) meeting
  • • Chair Industrial priorities review and feed into Flash 15 meeting with Financial Controller
  • • Co-Ordinate required support for external project work
  • • Ensure timely closure of CODECO (Balance sheet) actions for Industrial & Purchasing
  • • Finance Business Partner for one of the 3 Business Units (Assembly UAP)
  • • Cost Control of Site Overheads & General Expenses – monthly reviews with Budget holders (production, Common & Added cost centres)
  • • Ensure that cost centre reviews are conducted appropriately within Industrial & Purchasing with the relevant budget holders
  • • Cost of Production Reporting – by business unit and Total Site
  • • Delivery of Month end in 2 days
  • • Budgeting, Forecasting and Variance analysis
  • • Monthly KPI reporting
  • • Risks and opportunities assessment
  • • Support & validate the HR department with headcount reporting
  • • Supplying the programme controller with their monthly and annual reporting packs – Value Added, hourly rate, CCP & Stock
  • • Co-Ordination & ownership of all activities connected with the cost of production.
  • • Annual standard costing & weekly material validation – standard setting
  • • Audit support – internal and external
  • • Supporting the MRP2 Class A journey

  • • Budgeting/Forecasting & Variance analysis Essential
  • • Experience working as a Finance Business Partner Essential
  • • Excellent Excel and PowerPoint Essential
  • • SAP Essential
  • • Minimum part CIMA qualified Essential
  • • Experience of leading change or process improvements Desirable
  • • Ability to communicate & challenge effectively at all levels Essential
  • • Extremely organised & effective at time management to meet deadlines Essential
  • • Ability to remain calm and focussed under pressure Essential
