Summary:
Working alongside and under the direction of the VP of Commerce, the Regional Sales manager is responsible for maintaining and expanding business by building rapport with key customers, understand market dynamics. The Regional Sales Manager will support Safran Test Cells; clients by answering commercial and technical questions that arise during the sales process and creating new sales opportunities that meet the customers' needs. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • • Establish, maintain, and fulfill strategic business plans and goals to achieve revenue and profitability objectives within assigned region
  • • Make calls to prospective customers to promote and expand business via networking and relationship building
  • • Answer commercial & technical questions as they arise in the sales process
  • • Utilize Customer Relationship Management for managing customers, leads, opportunities and forecasting
  • • Achieve individual revenue and unit budget goals for given territory through successful consultative services that focus on the individuality and uniqueness of each customer and prospect
  • • Clearly understand market dynamics and how to use data to drive decision making
  • • Maintain customer base by maintaining rapport with key customers and addressing their needs
  • • Propose appropriate Sales Terms & Conditions and realize cash flow analysis
  • • Create new products by identifying gaps and synthesize maintenance, repair, and overhaul opportunities from joint ventures to transactional sales
  • • Collect data about competitors' capabilities and market prices
  • • Participate in promotional activities such as sales literature development and trade show exhibitions in assigned region
  • • Coordinate, with the help of the Sales Support team, the engineering, quoting, and estimating effort for each quote assigned
  • • Build effective communication between external and internal customers during projects in order to maintain stakeholders' satisfaction and ensure future sales and profitability
  • • Use and develop the SAFRAN network for his area of responsibility.

Other Duties and Responsibilities:

  • • Actively participate in a continuous improvement culture providing recommendations and implementing enhancements to current methods and procedures
  • • Coordinate closely with Key Account Manager if needed, to guarantee the business continuity and coherence in the customer strategy.
  • • Other duties as assigned

Votre profil

Education/Experience:

  • • Bachelor's degree in related field required
  • • 5-8 years of sales experience required
  • • Experience in selling complex industrial capital equipment greater than $5M in value with sales cycles lasting several months required

Qualifications:

  • • Demonstrated awareness of international variances in cultural and legal issues pertaining to sales in assigned region
  • • Proven ability to make sound judgments and decisions and have an understanding of how decisions affect business lines and the organization as a whole.
  • • Ability to survey the market and construct a strategy that can formulate a sales opportunity
  • • Strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • • Able and willing to travel approximately 25% of the time both domestically and internationally, as required
  • • Ability to determine and influence client's strategy and develop long-term objectives
  • • Strong communication skills both verbal and written with a proven ability to be assertive yet approachable delivering a positive customer service experience
  • • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; actively seeks opportunities to improve and promote quality and monitors own work to ensure quality is met
  • • Self-motivated, driven, organized, detail oriented, able to multi-task, prioritize sales activities and excel in a fast-paced environment
  • • Ability to present the product in a one-on-one as well as group presentation setting
  • • Self-starter with ability to work under pressure to deliver targets on time
  • • Ability to locate and establish business relationships with key customer decision makers
  • • Ability to manage multiple customer activities and communicate goals, objectives, and accomplishments to team members
  • • Ability to work in different cultures with successful outcome
  • • Ability to build consensus with support teams to provide customers with an excellent proposal package
  • • Proficient in MS Office programs to include Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:
The majority of the time is spent in a typical office environment requiring the ability to use a computer and telephone which requires sitting and typing for extended lengths of time. Occasionally, the individual in this position will need to stand, reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, stoop, and kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include normal vision. The office environment will have normal lighting and climate control tolerances. Additionally, the office setting will have moderate noise exposure, i.e. business office with computers, printers, light traffic. Travel conditions may involve being in an aircraft or automobile for extended periods of time. Safran Test Cells is a global company and travel to any country may be required. Work is performed in the business office at a minimum of 40 hours a week.
