New Manufacturing Inspector

• Visual and dimensional inspection of all aerospace components and parts for manufacturing areas within new production

• Inspection and measurement of all types of supplies to ensure conformance to customer drawing, quality / airworthiness standards and purchase order requirements, working within the parameters as laid out in procedures and work instructions for parts and assemblies.

• Perform and assist in investigations into non-conformance by the use of measuring equipment where required

• Containment and securitisation activities for checking parts in process or in stores when required.

• Provide cover where required where demand dictates a request by Team Leader within the employees competency
• Ability to use and/or learn CMM inspection software and equipment
• Experience in a range of manual inspection techniques and equipment

• Maintains a high standard of housekeeping at all times as set by SAFRAN
• Work in accordance with HSE legislation, the Company Operating Systems, policies and procedures.
• Ensure documentation / routings are completed accurately and processed correctly in a timely manner.
• Utilise SHE UK's SAP system by tracking routings, data entry and produce final release documentation ensuring product is conforming to standard.
• Input, record and analyse data in varying formats including FAI requirements, self-inspection, databases, SAP, use of Microsoft suite.

Skills
• Ability to use/learn CMM inspection software. Experience in a range of manual inspection techniques.
• Play an active part within the team and contribute to the business objectives and continuous improvement philosophies and opportunities.
• Ensure documentation / routings are completed accurately and processed correctly in a timely manner.
• Work in accordance with HSE legislation, the Company Operating Systems, policies and procedures.
