Safran Landing Systems is the world leader of aircraft landing and braking systems. The company has partnerships with 30 airframers in civil, regional, commercial and military transport, and supports 27,000 aircraft that operate around 70,000 landings daily.
There are occasions during the service life of equipment supplied to Aircraft Constructors and Operators by Safran Landing Systems when it is found that the equipment supplied requires modification or replacement.
A Retrofit programme may be necessary for a variety of reasons and is defined as:
“A programme to modify or replace an identified population in a specified time period, so as to ensure all equipment in service meets specific requirements”
The Retrofit Coordinator is responsible to ensure Safran Landing Systems coordinates with aircraft operators to affect the replacement/modification of all impacted in service equipment. Then to monitor and report the activity to ensure completion of the Retrofit programme, within a specified time frame.
Another vital part of the role is to work closely with all key stakeholders across relevant programmes. Product Support Managers, Finance, Production/Procurement, Shipping Agents to ultimately secure customer satisfaction to our end user. Clear communication with both internal & external stakeholders is key to managing customer expectations. You will periodically present and justify campaign/activity status in review meetings with senior management when necessary.
• Manage Specific Retrofit Campaigns
o Raise necessary documentation to inform Airlines/Customers of pending activity
o Raise & Communicate the Retrofit plan globally (obtaining buy-in from affected customers)
o Ensure that the correct parts and quantities are ordered & received to meet such plan
o Present & Report on activity status
o Take proactive action where you identify risks
o Communicate updates, share news both good and bad
o Escalate subjects as needed
• Optimise inventory levels
o Manage risks by maintaining suitable levels of stock
o Manage evolutions to ensure stock is the latest standard
o Address excess and static stocks
• Drive performance improvements
o Prepare and present the performance of your programs in review meetings
o Contribute to improve the process
o Provide recommendations to support customers regarding identified risks
Requisitos del puesto de trabajo

• Programme management experience is preferable but not essential
