Management of Strategic Commodities and Tactical Buyers – Within the scope of indirect purchasing, leads a team of Commodity Managers and Tactical Buyers whose responsibilities are to develop request for quotations, analyze supplier responses, negotiate and implements supplier contracts across the Americas. The Manager is responsible to support, guide and ensure that commodity-level strategies and tactics meet the sites' supply needs, drive cost reductions, and ensure quality standards are met. Oversee that team is working collaboratively with internal customers to understand and consolidate purchasing requirements from all Safran companies while imparting the “Safran Group Responsibilities Procedures” (GRP's). Responsible to ensure the Indirect Purchasing organizations goals are driven according to plan and mitigate any roadblocks or risks in achieving the organizations strategic purchasing goals. If situations arise that pose risks in achieving team goals then escalate the topics with the Indirect Purchasing Director and or/the site leadership when needed in order to resolve such risks. Works collaboratively with internal customers to understand and consolidate purchasing requirements from all Safran companies. Supports the ddevelopment of market intelligence and validates commodity strategies including type of management: Global, International, Regional, and Local
Sourcing/Supply Base Development & Management – Periodically review the teams supplier identification, evaluation, selection, performance management, supply base right-sizing, executive supplier interface, and management of single/sole source relationships.
Contract Development and Negotiation – Oversee the development and negotiation of agreements, including pricing road maps, Safran's standard terms and conditions, expectations, procurement best practices, risk mitigation, supplier performance and contract execution

Program Management – Ensures the implementation of key cost reduction programs. These programs could include such things as supplier changes, supplier relocations to low cost regions, negotiations, design changes, savings per the budget and forecast plan, document and report savings

Defines procedures, practices, processes and contract models (in collaboration with Legal) to best market standards for each commodity group
Proposes improvements of tools & processes and develop purchasing maturity within the Group, fosters operational excellence
Partners with the Senior Management Team and Safran group teams to align purchasing with the overall business strategy

Requisitos del puesto de trabajo

· Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
· 3 or more years of Management experience (direct reports)
· 7 or more years of commodity management/purchasing experience on an international & multi-site basis.
· Demonstrates knowledge of the procurement and supply chain industry
