Financial Analyst

This position will take on all of the cost accounting functions at the Montreal manufacturing facility. Provide detailed cost information by applying principles of cost accounting through gather , analyze & interpret data to determine costs of business activities, such as raw material purchases, inventory, and labor.

Analyze costing variances with production manager, take corrective actions and post corrective journal entries if necessary.
Reporting: Daily KPI/creation of new dashboard,Variance explanation on all costing categories for monthly management reporting package, Intercompany inventory entries & reporting, Government Statistical Reporting.
Analysis of daily uploaded hours.
Review & update daily standard cost update requests
Collaborate with Material Control department to ensure data integrity of standards.
Daily review and correction of sub-ledger journal entries
Perform month end & year end reconciliations.
Analysis of year end standard cost update.
Process & continuous improvement on various processes especially month end.
Perform General tasks as required from finance department

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors Degree in accounting.
Experience: 3-5 years experience in accounting.
Accounting Designation: Preferable
Computer Skills: Familiar with Windows Operating System, MS Office and ERP's.
Other Skills: Detailed oriented and accuracy is a must/Strong Analytical skills.
